This just keeps better. Yesterday, we discussed the "Legilsative Alert!" sent out by State Senator Lena Taylor for a Beauty seminar that offers tips on everything from boob jobs to tummy tucks to nose jobs. See this post.

No we get a response from Taylor's own office -- and even though it's only March, it's already in the running for quote of the year. From Wispolitics:

Taylor's office said the email was sent to subscribers to her legislative email list to inform constituents about a community event. The event is taking place in Sen. Spencer Coggs district, just a few blocks from Taylor's district boundary.

"We as many other legislators do, send out information about community events that are happening that may have interest," said Taylor aide Eric Peterson, noting many constituents have concerns about skin care.

    The next time you meet a "poor" person, please take a look at their hair and nails. I bet they are perfectly coiffed and have beautiful, manicured nails. That's why the community event alert was sent out.

    As Deepthroat said to Woodward and Bernstein - "Follow the money!". That said, has any good government group checked Ms. Taylor's campaign fund to see if Dr. Elton Xavier Tinsley, MD, has contributed any amount to her? If so, that is an ethics violation (in theory, but the Dems control that group too thanks to Doyle's appointed hacks). If a state employee did this, they would be severely disciplined for misuse of state resources.
