Just what we need.. more unemployment on both the House and the Senate. Caroline Baum.

March 10 (Bloomberg) -- The public is mad as hell at Washington: at the corruption, the underhanded deals, the earmarks, the sense of entitlement that comes with lifetime employment. If we don’t want to take it anymore, we can do something about it.

We the People of the United States need to make clear to our representatives in Congress, or their challengers, that our vote in November is contingent on what’s-his-name’s support for term limits. No support, no vote. Got it?

    You see, the problem is all they need is a few terms in office to get all the benefits FOR LIFE and most of these old dinosaurs are already set up for life so what do they care. I wish there could be a call to repeal some of these benefits of those leaving office under less than honorable conditions, just like the military has. I spent 23 years in the military and can say from experience it’s not that difficult to remain honorable to country, why can’t Congress do the same?

    At what point in history was it decided the House/Senate was to be a lifelong career, after which you recieve a gold plated retirement? Was this what the framers had in mind? They no longer serve us nor represent us. Personally, I don't trust ANY of them, regardless of party stripe. There needs to be a clean sweep.

    I've had mixed feelings about term limits forever. The irony is if we had congressional term limits today there would be no re-election incentive for the members to do the right thing and vote against the senate health care bill. What makes us think with term limits we will get anything other than more lap dogs for Pelosi or whoever is running congress at the time? Does it really take term limits to oust a Dave Obey? We may get our answer soon.

    Osborne here, term limits? my sister's child had that done, after she got herself knoocked up, don't want to fret myself worrying about that now, my cosmetologist said not to frown, you know, after I got my nose done, after my free consultation.....
