CCAP. That's the website that quickly helps you see whether someone's been involved in a WI court case-- from a traffic ticket to a murder. But some want to restrict our access to CCAP and the knowledge the government actually supplies to the average guy who wants to search for it. Why?

  1. I'm going to wager a guess and say so WE can't look up politicians records.
  2. Liberty or tyranny, limiting information, and speech, is not liberty.
  3. This kind of access makes Wisconsin "progressive" in a good way. CCAP should remain free to use for all. Also, there is a bill to restrict 911 calls from being disclosed to the public. These things are a matter of public interest and are used to determine if the public servants are acting in an appropriate manner.
  4. Is Portage County--AKA little Dane-- still the only county in the state exempted from CCAP? I always thought that was interesting from a potential corruption angle.
