No vision. No leadership. No plan. No vote.

Tom Barrett's party controls both houses of the legislature and the governor's office. He is the party's front runner for governor.

And he couldn't manage to line up enough votes for his MPS bill.

MPS continues to spin into educational and fiscal chaos and the mayor's contribution so far: a few press conferences; a lobbying visit to Madison.... and bupkus.

The worst racial achievement gap in the country: $1 billion a year

Unfunded health care befeits for retirees: $5 billion

The political establishments failure to enact any reforms: Priceless.

    I believe most people realize that the legislature is planning to increase the powers of the superintendent...giving the kind of control to an elected education official that the mayor would have had. This makes a great deal more sense than adding another job to mayor given that most cities w/ mayoral control have seen no measurable school achievement gap progress. It is disingenuous to blame this issue on BArrett for simple political advantage. Where has Walker ever been on this issue?

    220, Vouchers/Choice,Charters... these initiatives were suppose to fix education in Milwaukee... and is anyone really going to buy things would be worse with them?
