Angry at the federal government?

You're not alone. By a long shot.

Rasmussen finds 71% of Americans now ticked off at the spending, borrowing, bail out binge in Washington.

Seventy-one percent (71%) of voters nationwide say they’re at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government. That figure includes 46% who are Very Angry.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 27% are not angry about the government's policies, including 10% who are Not at All Angry.

One nugget about the disconnect in politcis today:

Among the nation’s Political Class, just six percent (6%) are angry. However, among those with more Mainstream, or populist, views, 85% are angry. A majority of Americans today hold views that can be described as Mainstream or populist. Very few align with the Political Class (see more information on this divide).

  1. I know I am mad as hell by the spending. While almost all Americans are trying to scale back their debt the government on all levels just keeps on spending. For the libs, yes Bush overspent, I hated and disagreed with that as well. All of the political class are overspending and trying to gain more and more power. STOP THE SPENDING!!!!
  2. Well what do you know, with statistics like these I guess even SOME liberals must have figured it out; that the Obama administration and liberal democrats are not just stealing money from Conservatives and their children’s children, but they are also going to drive the liberal’s and their children’s children into the poor house as well. I never thought I would live to see the day.
  3. It's funny that conservatives have kept their mouth shut while King George spent our country into crisis for 8 years. I was called un-patriotic anytime I mentioned the fact that we could not continue spending money on two wars and ignore the issues at home.... Sick
  4. Here is a little civics lesson for you it was the democrat controlled CONGRESS who was in charge of “spending our country into crisis”, at least for the LAST TWO YEARS of the Bush’s presidency. Now the history lesson, Bush spent the first 6 years of his presidency cleaning up the Clinton mess that emboldened Bin Laden to commit the 911 massacre, by letting terrorist see America was just a paper tiger. Obama is doing the same thing today so don’t plan a vacation to New York in the near future.
