Majority of County Cleaning Staff Calls in Sick

Good, this is making the decision to contract out services look smarter by the second.

(It's also making the county housekeepers union look petty.)

One day after the Milwaukee County Board agreed to privatize scores of county housekeepers, 19 of the 25 custodial staff at the Courthouse complex called in sick, county officials said Thursday.

  1. This is a highly technical, specialized skill set. If anyone could do the job then Lee and the county supervisors would be out in the halls doing it.
  2. Let them call in sick. If their jobs are getting privatized then we don't have to worry about them much longer. If they call in "sick" when they are likely not under a private employer they will get written up or fired. Thanks to Walker and those that supported him on the county board for saving taxpayers money.
  3. This must be a hard job.Think of all the BS that is said around there, that needs to be cleaned up.
  4. So the majority of custodial staff call in sick and grind county government to a halt. Oh wait, county government kept going only proving how useless the county custodial staff is in the scheme of things.
