Or at least the Al Gore enviro rich. VDH via Instapundit.:

The Discreet Charm Of The Left-Wing Plutocracy. “To distill Gorism is to live in a 1,000 sq. ft. solar house, bike to work, and take the train on long distances; but to promote Gorism, one lives in a mansion, jets on private planes, and is chauffeured from airport to conference center—a rather heavy carbon footprint indeed. I mention that because this week he has insisted that he only invested in what he believes in and is thus not a hypocrite—sort of like a 1990s Fannie or Freddie director saying he is only taking mega-bonuses because he believes in public support for housing.”

  1. Today’s neocom statist insists that the rich are evil. Today’s neocom statist insists that the white man is evil. Therefore E-Gore is evil.
  2. This story broke in the New York Times. Damn that liberal media!
  3. They'll be damned don't worry.
  4. The irony is that the people screaming the loudest about the environment now either grew up in the 70s gas shortages, or for the current college age liberals in training, their parents did. One must ask where were all these people from the mid 80s to the early part of this decade? Solar and wind power? Sustainability? More likely big homes, high energy use, luxury SUVs and environmental hipocracy. I suspect the vast majority only became green again once it became politically fashionable.
