The Upside Down Logic of Tammy Baldwin

  • Print
Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and 39 other U.S. Senators have sent a letter urging Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to release federal heating aid funds part of the Low- Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).
Sen. Baldwin said:
"As winter approaches in Wisconsin, it’s more important than ever that we do everything we can to keep those in need warm and safe. No one should have to decide between heating their home and putting food on the table or gas in the car," Baldwin said. "The LIHEAP program provides critical economic security for those most in need. Last year, this program helped over 200,000 households in Wisconsin afford their energy bills. Many more households in our state are eligible for assistance this year so I strongly urge HHS to quickly release funding for this essential program."
So, what's wrong with that? Collin Roth tells us, here.
