UWM Capitulates to Radicals over Palermo's
The inmates are running the asylum.
In a stunning display of cowardice, the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee has caved to a small group of radical student activist and have shuttered the Palermo’s pizza shop in the student union.
Shortly after 1 pm Tuesday, UWM Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Life Jim Hill declared that the Palermo's Pizza stand would be shut down for the remainder of the spring semester and the entire summer semester as well.
The capitulation was caught on video by the student agitators.
"Who’s got the power? We got the power? What kind of power? Union power," the protesters chanted after the smirking UWM official handed their bullhorn back to them. There's more, here.
The UWM flack called my show this morning and insisted that the university did not cave. That frozen Palermo's pizza is still available on campus and that this incident was misconstrued.
But watch that video tape. Voces knows full well that UWM buckled. They are reveling in the decision.
