The 8 Who Were Dead Wrong About Ron Johnson, Hillary, and Benghazi

When United States Senator Ron Johnson elicited the "what difference at this point does it make," from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, he was lambasted and belittled by liberals in the media. They claimed Johnson was "smacked down," "agonizingly ignorant," "schooled," and dabbling in "conspiracy theories."

But as a series of Benghazi whistleblowers prepare to testify in Congress, the American public is expected to hear a number of new bombshells that detail lies, politics, a cover-up, and cowardice that reach the highest levels of power.

Here's what we have learned this week and expect to hear more about:
  • Secretary of State Clinton cut the State Department's counter-terrorism bureau out of the chain of decision-making and reporting.
  • A group of U.S. Special Operations forces were prohibited from travelling from Tripoli to Benghazi and told to stand down when they were on the way to board a plane.
  • Initial talking points that detailed al-Qaida involvement in the attack were edited, deleted, and rewritten to make inaccurate statements about a protest and a YouTube video.
Sen. Johnson questioning of Clinton provided Americans with a raw glimpse of how the Obama administration feels about the Benghazi cover-up, and their cold calculation that they would get away with it.

They knew the violence wasn't the result of a protest over an obscure YouTube video. The talking points disseminated by the administration were scrubbed. Johnson was right to ask what the administration knew and when, and why they chose to make the public statements that they did.

With the vindication of Sen. Johnson this week, let's revisit some rather infamous statements about Johnson's questioning of Hillary Clinton. Click below
