He is a former federal prosecutor at the U.S. Attorney's Office for eleven and a half years where he was Head of the Organized Crime Task Force. In 1993, Jeff went into private practice and was also on the 1994 Republican candidate for State Attorney General.

He really needs to take this standup comedy routine on the road. Tom Barrett, who was both invisible and silent and the mining issue, spoke to the Press Club Wednesday and asked where Scott walker was... Via Wispolitics:
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett today questioned Walker's leadership on the mining issue, saying the guv failed to use his influence to encourage lawmakers to consider legislation that could get support from both sides.
"My reaction was, 'Where was the governor?'" Barrett said during an appearance at a WisPolitics luncheon in Milwaukee. "The governor is the one who was supposed to be contacting those legislators and bringing those legislators in and saying ,'How can we work together?'"
