For intelligent commentary and analysis of political and daily events, Milwaukee turns to the top-rated Midday with Charlie Sykes. Charlie is Wisconsin's most provocative, insightful radio talk show host and challenges conventional wisdom to provide listeners with the other side of the story.
He really needs to take this standup comedy routine on the road. Tom Barrett, who was both invisible and silent and the mining issue, spoke to the Press Club Wednesday and asked where Scott walker was... Via Wispolitics:
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett today questioned Walker's leadership on the mining issue, saying the guv failed to use his influence to encourage lawmakers to consider legislation that could get support from both sides.
"My reaction was, 'Where was the governor?'" Barrett said during an appearance at a WisPolitics luncheon in Milwaukee. "The governor is the one who was supposed to be contacting those legislators and bringing those legislators in and saying ,'How can we work together?'"

Savvy listener notes:
In this whole debate did we ever hear one word form the Mayor of the city with the most (or second most) jobs to gain from mining? If we did I never heard it. Barrett was missing in action during this entire debate, and now he's going to second guess the governor? I call B.S.
