Democrats Kill 1000s of Shovel Ready Jobs...
... and now they will have to run on it. I wonder if they understand that by killing the mining legislation -- a decision that lead Gogebic to announce it was pulling out of Wisconsin -- destroys their talking point about Walker and jobs. They apparently hope to run against Walker, criticizing him for the slow pace of job creation, just after killing thousands of good-paying shovel-ready jobs. Awkward.
In their zeal to deny Walker a win of any sort, the Democrats and their RINO ally, Dale Schultz, have drawn a rather dramatic line in the sand.
From Gogebic's statement:
Senate rejection of the mining reforms in Assembly Bill 426 sends a clear message that Wisconsin will not welcome iron mining. We get the message. GTac is ending plans to invest in a Wisconsin mine. We thank the many people who have supported our efforts.
