Most Wisconsin voters approve of the job embattled Governor Scott Walker is doing and oppose the effort to recall him from office before the next election.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds that 52% of Likely Wisconsin Voters at least somewhat approve of Walker’s job performance to date, while 46% at least somewhat disapprove. These findings include 40% who Strongly Approve of how the Republican governor is doing and just as many (40%) who Strongly Disapprove.

  1. I'm sure Randy, the Right Reverend, and WWGuy will be on shortly to tell us how these poll numbers simply cannot be believed.
  2. And those who don't oppose it should. Recalls like this should only be for malfeasance in office (doing something illegal, for instance) or dereliction of duty (failing to submit budgets, failing to uphold the Constitution, fleeing to another state to avoid your responsibilities, etc.). Otherwise we have scheduled recalls in place -- they are called elections.

I already voted for our governor once. I thought that was good for four years. It certainly should have been. I don't like the idea of being disenfranchised of my 2010 vote in 2012. I will enthusisastically be supporting him against the recall and will vote for him again. But I shouldn't have to! This recall business is outrageous and the rules need to be changed!
  3. What's the margin of error for this poll?
  4.
What's the margin of error for this poll?
Did you read the article? The margin of sampling error is /- 4.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.

I agree with Dad2Three. I voted for Governor Walker in 2010 and feel like my vote is being stolen by the Unions and the Liberal Left but I repeat myself. Get your friends out to vote for Walker
