I have Jessica King's "response"... and will share it with listeners this morning.

Check out this picture.... State Senator Jessica King (D-Oshkosh) yukking it up with anti-military bigot Ian Murphy.

UPDATE: Here is Murphy's schedule of Recall walker activities: the recallers even made him their star attraction...

.

A final push for signatures in Fond du Lac County to recall Gov. Scott Walker, kicks off with Senator Jessica King and Ian Murphy, editor of "The BEAST" who made the famous "David Koch" phone call to Gov. Walker, at Fond du Lac's Democratic office on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2011. Reporter photo by Aileen Andrews

This is who Ian Murphy is:

So, 4000 rubes are dead. Cry me the Tigris. Another 30,000 have been seriously wounded. Boo f**king hoo. They got what they asked for—and cool robotic limbs, too.

Likely, just reading the above paragraph made you uncomfortable. But why?

The benevolence of America’s “troops” is sacrosanct. Questioning their rectitude simply isn’t done. It’s the forbidden zone. We may rail against this tragic war, but our soldiers are lauded by all as saints. Why? They volunteered to partake in this savage idiocy, and for this they deserve our utmost respect? I think not.

UPDATE:

Charlie,

I forwarded the following email to Senator King today as well as copies to the Fond du Lac Reporter and the Oshkosh Northwestern:

Dear Senator King,

I was extremely disappointed to find that you and your fellow Democrats have apparently embraced Ian Murphy as an ally in your efforts to recall Governor Walker.  I understand that in progressive circles there is a great deal of amusement regarding Murphy’s phone conversation with Governor Walker when he posed as David Koch.  I would like to ask you if there is an equal amount of amusement within your circles about his disparaging remarks about our military personnel who served in Iraq and who are currently serving in Afghanistan.  Following is his screed:

“So, 4000 rubes are dead.  Cry me the Tigris. Another 30,000 have been seriously wounded.  Boo - - - -ing hoo.  They got what they asked for—and cool robotic limbs, too.

Were you aware of his comments?  More important, do you agree with them?  As a retired member of the U.S. Navy and a Vietnam veteran I am very upset that you and your Democratic colleagues are so eager to showoff an individual who obviously takes great pleasure in his bigotry toward the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces.  Moreover, are you the kind of Senator we want to represent us in the legislature when we consider that Wisconsin has many dedicated men and women who are serving our country and the state in both the U.S. Armed Services and the Wisconsin National Guard?

Sincerely,
Jerry Letcher
