One of our listeners notes that something extraordinary happened (or rather didn't happen) the other day at a meeting of the Milwaukee Common Council. He writes:
So yesterday, the Milwaukee Common Council voted to increase city employees’ health care contribs, authorized a restructuring of deductibles and co-pays, boosted employee pension contribs, eliminated pension benefits for parking checkers hired after 10/3/2010, and froze the wages of 390 unionized police administrative employees and parking checkers.
And not a bongo was beaten, nor a vuvuzela blown…
