Interesting email:
The state senate was just debating a bill to give an income tax checkoff to the Special Olympics. The gallery full of protesters (some dressed as Robin Hood... I kid you not) started shouting about Standing Up when their rights are taken away (or something). Again, an income tax checkoff for the Special Olympics.

Statement from Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald:
MADISON, WI… This afternoon on the floor of the Senate, protesters interrupted a bill to create an Income Tax Checkoff for the Special Olympics by screaming chants from the Senate Gallery, forcing a 15-minute delay of the Senate.
On Monday, members of a fringe PAC interrupted a committee hearing of the Joint Finance Committee and had to be escorted out by the police. Sen. Scott Fitzgerald released the following statement this afternoon:
“Dressing up in costumes and screaming down a bill for the Special Olympics on the Senate floor? That’s bizarre, even for Madison.
“At some point, enough is enough. If you disagree with something that’s happening in Madison, there are better ways to make your point than throwing a temper tantrum.”
