Last week, we heard thatState Rep. Gordon Hintz (D-Oshkosh) had been busted in a prostitution sting.

State Rep. Gordon Hintz was issued a municipal citation in Appleton earlier this month for violating a city sexual misconduct ordinance.

Appleton police said the citation was issued Feb. 10 in conjunction with an ongoing investigation of Heavenly Touch Massage Parlor, 342 W. Wisconsin Ave., in Appleton. Police searched the business and a nearby residence in the 1300 block of North Division Street Jan. 28, after investigators had staked out the properties for several days after receiving a tip.

Last Friday.... after the Assembly voted to engross the Budget Repair Bill, Hintz turned to a female colleague, Rep. Michelle Litjens and said: "You are F***king dead!"

New tone, indeed. Will he be held accountable?

** UPDATE: Hintz is apologizing.

An Oshkosh Assemblyman apologized to a colleague Monday for comments he made on the floor of the Assembly last week immediately following a vote on a contentious budget repair bill.

Rep. Gordon Hintz, D Oshkosh, apologized to Rep. Michelle Litjens, R-Winneconne, for shouting out an obscenity that included the words “you’re dead” that Litjens and other witnesses heard in the chaotic scene after Republicans approved the bill.

Litjens said she accepted the apology, but has asked the Assembly leadership to discipline Hintz.

Obvious exit question: would Hintz have apologized or even acknoledged the comment if I had not broken the story on my show/blog this morning?

  1. Such a fine specimen of man. His mother must be real proud of her big bad jack ass of a son.
  2. WOW, If I threatened a co-worker like that or in any other way, I would not be employed with that company. Rep. Hintz is acting in such a way that is consistant with Nazi Germany or he feels the pressure of getting caught with a hooker. What, he's so hard up he needs to pay for it.
  3. AND...he lectures the GOP Assembly members on "values" at the end of the 61-hour debate in that chamber. AND...he sends out a press release after the bill passed with this title: "Wisconsin, open for dirty business." http://www.wispolitics.com/index.iml?Article=228149
Whose dirty business, Representative? Why wasn't he censured in the Assembly? Why did both parties allow him to debate on the floor of the Assembly chamber with that kind of citation?
  4. I think expulsion proceedings are in order.
