As the president declares the end of the iraq war... how about some apologies to the troops, Senator Feingold? Or at least an acknolwedgement that you were wrong?

SEN. FEINGOLD: “The Surge Has To Be Stopped. It Is A Reckless, Almost Mindless Approach To A Desperately Difficult Situation.” (Fox News’ “Special Report With Brit Hume,” 1/8/07)

SEN. FEINGOLD: “And What The Feingold-Reid Amendment Was -- Started With Was A Proposal To Use The Power Of The Purse To Try To Use Congress' Power To Bring This Mistake To An End.” (Sen. Feingold, Press Conference, 5/16/07)

“While our troops were risking their lives in Iraq, Senator Russ Feingold was busy undermining their mission to score cheap political points by declaring the troop surge to be a reckless and mindless approach that ‘has to be stopped.’  Senator Feingold needs to admit that he was wrong about the surge, salute our troops for their hard work and explain to the people of Wisconsin how someone who puts partisan politics above winning a war deserves their vote.”  - Ryan Tronovitch, RNC Spokesman

  1. Just think about it. Feingold and Obama were continuously wrong on every major issue when Bush was president (Iraq surge, patriot act, tax cuts, war on terror, etc.) and they've been wrong on every major issue since they have been in power (stimulus, obamacare, cap n trade, taxes, etc.). I'd say they are batting 1000 for ineptness.
  2. Good point Ryan Tronovitch. Problem is Feinstein and his ilk, truth be told, don't want their vote, and they appear to have no problem with doing anything humanly possible to make sure their votes are never counted anyway. So why would Feinstein give a flying f about undermining the mission of lowly military members..?
  3. It's Russ Feingold who saw this thing right. The surge had some success because the Sunni minority saw it as the only way to defeat Al Quaida and keep the Shia at bay. Massive majorities in Iraq want us out.

Here's the real costs to America:

    1. 5,000 dead service personnel and countless thousands more with serious wounds and other physical and mental injuries.

    2. 700 billion in direct costs and many billions more in indirect and long term costs. Total costs could reach 2 trillion.
  4. Last post was mine btw. And for those who wonder, I call him Feinstein for two reasons: 1) He thinks he's Einstein because he went to Harvard and all of us lowly peasants are morons and 2) I hope it catches on so he for the rest of his life has to say... No that's Feingold... since there is in fact, a real life, lousy senator from California named Feinstein... plus it would pi$$ him off to no end to be confused with a chick senator from Cali. Especially if he gets his pink slip in November..
